Hays had played seven rehab contests with Charlotte, but the left calf strain that sent him to the 10-day injured list in early May is still giving him trouble. He'll meet with the White Sox's training staff and develop a plan of attack for his rehab moving forward. Hays has been limited to only 12 games for Chicago this season because of hamstring and calf issues.

Leasure said his UCL is intact, but he's dealing with a lot of inflammation and has been diagnosed with a right flexor strain. Leasure was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday but is looking at an extended absence into July.

New York could use a boost to its struggling offense, but it doesn't look like Tauchman will be a potential solution any time soon after undergoing knee surgery in late March. He was originally given a six-week recovery timeline, but the 35-year-old outfielder may not be back in the lineup for Triple-A Syracuse until June.

Teel has yet to play with the White Sox this season after he initially suffered a hamstring injury during the World Baseball Classic. He began a rehab assignment earlier this month but then sustained a sprained LCL in his right knee after four games with Triple-A Charlotte. Now on the 60-day injured list, Teel will begin to ramp things back up with an eye toward returning to the Chicago lineup sometime next month.

It's been almost exactly one month since Pereira landed on the injured list, and he has made some progress. However, it was also noted that Pereira still needs to build up additional arm strength prior to his return, so an exact timeline for his return remains unclear.

Hicks had given up five earned runs while walking four and striking out three over two innings in his last three appearances. The move is retroactive to May 21 and Jordan Leasure was summoned from Triple-A to take Hicks' place in the bullpen.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for outfielder Dustin Harris, who was called up from Triple-A Charlotte. Vasil underwent Tommy John surgery in March and will be sidelined until around the middle of the 2027 season.

The move opens up a spot on the 40-man roster for Randal Grichuk, who signed a one-year major-league deal with the White Sox on Monday. Murray suffered a left shoulder dislocation and fracture while making a diving catch in left field against the Nationals in late April. If all goes well with Syracuse, Alvarez could be back on the active roster in a week or two.

Perhaps more importantly, Polanco started Saturday's game at first base, indicating that the Mets haven't given up on the idea of him being an important contributor at the position. He has yet to play a full nine innings in any of his three rehab games, however, so activation from the 10-day injured list may not be imminent. Per Max Ralph of MLB.com, manager Carlos Mendoza acknowledged over the weekend that Polanco likely won't be 100 percent healthy once he's eventually reinstated. However, the skipper suggested that as long as the pain in Polanco's left Achilles doesn't worsen, the 32-year-old will be able to play through the issue. Whenever he rejoins the big-league roster, Polanco will compete with Mark Vientos, Brett Baty and Jared Young for playing time at first base and designated hitter.

Senga will aim to throw around 85 pitches Wednesday after tossing 3.2 innings and 80 pitches in his most recent appearance for Syracuse last Thursday. Senga has recorded a 5.14 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB across seven innings between his first two rehab outings with Single-A St. Lucie and Syracuse, but if he shows improved results Wednesday, the 33-year-old could be cleared to make his next start in the big leagues. Senga has been on the shelf since April 28 due to lumbar spine inflammation.

Waddell was shut down in March due to shoulder discomfort, but he's since managed to work through the injury. He's made two relief appearances at Triple-A Syracuse so far this year, surrendering three runs on seven hits while striking out four across five frames.

Out since late April with a lumbar spine disc herniation, Robert has yet to resume baseball activities, but the hope is the injections will speed his recovery along. Robert is on the 60-day injured list and not eligible to return until late June. A timetable for his activation won't be available until he starts ramping up his activities and goes out on a rehab assignment. A.J. Ewing has taken over as the Mets' primary center fielder in Robert's stead.

Taylor was pulled from Monday's game against Cincinnati after suffering a right hip injury, and the team has yet to reveal the severity of the issue. Assuming he does land on the injured list over the next day or so, A.J. Ewing and Bretty Baty could pick up a few extra at-bats.

It's the first tangible sign of real progress for Lindor, who is going through other baseball activities like hitting and fielding grounders, as well. The star shortstop has already missed more than a month of action with a left calf strain and will likely require a handful of rehab games before being activated. Lindor should be back sometime in June, though there remains no specific timeline for his return.

The right-hander was recently shut down from all activities for 6-to-8 weeks due to a fractured right fibula, so it's hardly a surprise he's been moved to the 60-day IL. Holmes is expected to require about a month to build back up to game readiness once fully recovered, so he'll likely be sidelined until at least mid-August.

Herget was designated for assignment by the Mets in late September and became a free agent a few days later. He's now back with the club and will battle for a spot in the team's bullpen during spring training.

It's unclear when Hagenman sustained the injury, but his placement on the 60-day IL means that he won't be eligible to make his 2026 regular-season debut until at least late May. In a corresponding move to bolster the bullpen, the Mets claimed southpaw Richard Lovelady off waivers from the Nationals.

New York hasn't issued a timeline for Mauricio's return, but after fracturing his left thumb while diving into first base during Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Angels, the young infielder will be surely miss more than the minimum 10 days. The Mets called up Vidal Brujan to provide another option at shortstop while Mauricio and Francisco Lindor (calf) are on the shelf, but Bo Bichette will start at the position in Sunday's series finale in Anaheim and could end up seeing the bulk of the playing time at that spot in the short term.

Diaz underwent surgery in late April to remove loose bodies from his right elbow. He's progressed enough in his recovery to start a throwing program, but the expectation is that he will be sidelined until after the All-Star break in mid-July. Diaz's exact activation date from the IL will be more clear as he continues to move through his rehab program.

Casparius has been cleared to start a throwing program, but he's evidently not close to a return yet, which is why the Dodgers bumped him over to the 60-day injured list. This clears up a spot on the 40-man roster for Jonathan Hernandez, who was signed to a deal with LA on Monday.

Knack has been on the injured list since the start of the season due to an intercostal strain, and his move to the 60-day IL will ensure he remains on the IL until at least late May. His 40-man spot will be given to Tyler Fitzgerald, who was acquired in a trade with Toronto on Tuesday.

It can be viewed as good news for Muncy after he was involved in a big collision at first base with Ildemaro Vargas in the fifth inning of Thursday's 3-2 loss to Arizona. With lefty Reid Detmers getting the start for the Angels against the Dodgers on Friday, it makes sense to give Muncy another day to rest. Santiago Espinal came on to play third base following Muncy's departure Thursday.

Stone was shut down for several weeks after feeling discomfort following his first Cactus League appearance. He resumed throwing in early April at the team's spring training facility in Arizona, but according to Roberts, Stone's shoulder issue "sort of shows itself again" when the hurler attempts to advance in his throwing program. Roberts added Tuesday of Stone that he's "not sure exactly where he's at in this progression," but clearly he is not going to be an option in the majors anytime soon.

Stewart landed on the 15-day injured list May 9 due to a bone spur in his left foot. He was originally given a three-week timeline to return, but that period has since come to pass. It's not clear how much longer the continued foot discomfort will keep Stewart on the shelf. At this time, surgery hasn't been viewed as an option for Stewart, but that could change if the discomfort persists.

Glasnow landed on the 15-day injured list in early May due to lower-back spasms. He progressed enough in his recovery to resume throwing Monday, but Roberts noted that Glasnow has been unable to "let it rip." The Dodgers will have a better sense of Glasnow's recovery timeline once he's cleared to throw off the mound.

Hernandez was diagnosed with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain Friday, and although that's a relatively mild strain, he will still spend far more than the minimum 10 days on the shelf. The 33-year-old noted that there's a chance he could return sooner, but he would rather take things slowly than rush back and risk his hamstring turning into a lingering problem.

The Dodgers commented earlier in the day Monday that they weren't yet sure what type of surgery Snell would be slated for, but general manager Brandon Gomes has since confirmed that it will be the nano scope procedure for the southpaw. This is promising news for fantasy managers, as this type of procedure is thought to give Snell a chance to return in 4-to-6 weeks. A timetable for his return likely won't become clear until after the procedure.

The Dodgers placed Hernandez on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, just two days after he made his return from a season-opening stint on the 60-day IL while he completed his recovery from a Nov. 14 extensor repair procedure on his left elbow. Hernandez is now headed for another extended absence, a disappointing development for the 34-year-old utility player after he made a splash in his first two games back from the IL by going 4-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, two RBI and an additional run. Given the estimated 6-to-8-week recovery timeline, Hernandez will most likely be held out through the All-Star break and will target a return to the field early in the second half.

Roupp pitched through back discomfort in his last outing Monday in Milwaukee, but at this point it does not appear it will cause him to miss a turn in the rotation. The right-hander has accumulated a 4.22 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 72:27 K:BB over 64 innings covering 12 starts for the Giants this season.

Gage (knee) last appeared Monday against Milwaukee and had a rocky inning of work, allowing two earned runs on three hits and two walks. The knee issue may have contributed to the struggles, as he commands a 2.63 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 19:13 K:BB through 24 innings on the season. San Francisco called up Dylan Smith to take his spot on the active roster.

Ramos has been sidelined for a little more than two weeks with a right quad strain. He will build up his hitting progression and will likely need to show he can run the bases without issue before being cleared to go out on a rehab assignment. There's no timetable yet for Ramos' return.

Peguero strained his left hamstring during the eighth inning of Sunday's win over the Rockies. The injury is severe enough for Peguero to go straight onto the 60-day IL, which means the earliest he's eligible to be reinstated is late July. Wilkin Ramos was called up from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move.

Oliva underwent surgery in mid-April to address a left hamate bone fracture and began his rehab assignment with the Rivers Cats on Saturday after being transferred from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL in late April. The 30-year-old doubled in the third inning, hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth and singled in the seventh before stealing two bases and scoring. The outfielder earned a spot on the Giants' Opening Day roster and is eligible to return to the big leagues in mid-June.

Bader notched a base hit and an RBI in Friday's series opener, but he'll retreat to the bench to begin Saturday's contest. While he sits, Casey Schmitt, Drew Gilbert and Jung Hoo Lee will form San Francisco's outfield trio.

Mahle may have tweaked his hamstring during his last start Tuesday against the Diamondbacks, when he allowed three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three across five innings, taking his seventh loss of the season in the process. He's eligible to be reinstated from the IL in mid-June, but the Giants will have a better sense of Mahle's recovery timeline once he undergoes further tests on his hamstring. Logan Webb (knee) was reinstated from the 15-day IL in a corresponding move, but with Mahle now sidelined, the Giants may call up a starter from Triple-A Sacramento if they wish to maintain their six-man rotation.

Sanmartin threw eight of his 13 pitches for strikes and induced three straight outs after entering in the fifth inning. The 30-year-old recently began his rehab assignment in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League but quickly advanced to Triple-A. The left-hander was placed on the 60-day injured list March 25 due to a right hip flexor strain, and he had been competing for a bullpen spot in San Francisco, so he isn't guaranteed to join the big-league roster once healthy.

Birdsong was diagnosed with a sprained UCL in mid-March and elected to go under the knife. The right-hander will miss the entirety of the 2026 campaign and likely at least the first couple months of 2027.

Butto has already been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing surgery Saturday to repair an artery in his arm, so moving to 60-day IL has no impact on his timeline. He'll cede his spot on the 40-man roster to Eric Haase, who was selected from Triple-A Sacramento to replace Daniel Susac (elbow) on the active roster.

Mantiply was originally expected to start up a throwing program soon, but after receiving a second opinion on his knee, he decided the best path forward would be to undergo a cleanup procedure. An updated timeline for his return will likely be available after he goes under the knife, but manager John Schneider said the operation won't force the southpaw to miss the rest of the season.

Kirk will begin his rehab stint at Single-A Dunedin on Wednesday, and depending on whether he's allowed to play on consecutive days right away, he could have time to get in 20 at-bats by the weekend. The organization might elect to be a little more cautious with the 27-year-old given that he last saw big-league action April 3, but with the Jays sliding in the standings and looking for a spark, they'll want their starting backstop back in the lineup as soon as possible. Tyler Heineman and Brandon Valenzuela will continue holding down the fort behind the plate until Kirk is cleared to return, and battling to keep a spot on the 26-man roster when he does.

Estrada didn't give up a hit in the outing and fanned three batters, but he yielded a run on three walks and a sacrifice fly. The right-hander was making his first appearance in two months, as he's been dealing with a right shoulder impingement. Estrada will likely need at least a couple more rehab outings, and he could remain at Buffalo rather than join the big club when he's done with his rehab assignment.

The veteran right-hander made his first rehab outing with Buffalo on Sunday and threw 41 pitches across three scoreless innings. Scherzer hopes to build up to around 60 pitches in his next start, which could be his final rehab outing before being cleared to rejoin Toronto's rotation.

Nance was cleared to begin throwing off a mound Thursday, and he seems to be making considerable progress in his recovery now that he's resumed facing live hitters. He's scheduled to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, and a return from the injured list may come shortly afterward.

Cease threw another bullpen session Tuesday and participated in change-of-direction running drills. Assuming he doesn't run into any setbacks following his latest activity, he'll head out to Triple-A for what will likely be his only tune-up outing before being activated. He would then be lined up to make his return from the injured list next Tuesday and start against the Phillies.

Zwelling describes Barger's hitting sessions as "flips, tee work, etc." The slugger has missed most of the season to this point, first due to an IL stay following an ankle injury and then due to his current elbow issue. While Barger seems to be making progress in his recovery from the latter injury, he may require a minor-league rehab assignment before he's ready to be activated.

Sosa kicked off the scoring for Toronto with a 415-foot solo shot in the second inning. He added another RBI on an infield single in the eighth. The long ball was Sosa's first of the season in his 24th game after he went deep 22 times across 140 contests with the White Sox last year. Overall, he's slashing a modest .257/.254/.386 and has yet to take a walk over 72 plate appearances on the campaign, but he may be heating up after going 5-for-9 across his past two games.

The Blue Jays and Berrios went into the operation unsure whether the pitcher would require a ligament repair, and as it turns out he required a full UCL procedure. Berrios has been sidelined all season with elbow problems and will now likely be shelved until at least the second half of the 2027 campaign.

Ponce sprained his right ACL in late March, which was a severe enough injury to require season-ending surgery, but he should be available for the start of spring training. He signed a three-year, $30 million contract with the Blue Jays in December after spending three seasons in Japan. Ponce's start against the Rockies on March 30 -- when he suffered his injury -- was his first appearance in an MLB game since 2021, when he played with the Pirates.

Martin was placed on the 15-day injured list over the weekend due to left elbow inflammation, but it's since been reported that he'll need more than the minimum to return to full strength. The Cubs are weathering quite the injury storm in the bullpen, as Daniel Palencia (lat), Caleb Thielbar (hamstring) and Hunter Harvey (triceps) are also on the shelf.

Alzolay is healthy again after missing the entire 2025 season while recovering from August 2024 Tommy John operation, but the 31-year-old righty will need to shake off some rust at Triple-A Syracuse and show that he's regained his pre-surgery velocity and command before garnering another look in the big leagues. He had previously been one of the game's more effective closers as recently as the 2023 season, when he went 22-for-25 in save chances and delivered a 2.67 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 67:13 K:BB across 64 innings with the Cubs.

Horton will miss roughly 16 months after undergoing Tommy John surgery Thursday, so the Cubs will stash him away on the 60-day IL for the rest of the year. Corbin Martin was selected from Triple-A Iowa in a corresponding move.

Cabrera is eligible to come off the injured list Friday and was initially expected to start Saturday afternoon's game against San Francisco. However, it appears the Cubs are pushing him up a day and moving Ben Brown back to Saturday to give him six days rest. Cabrera developed a blister after allowing four runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks with two strikeouts across three innings May 20 against the Brewers. On the season, the right-hander owns a 4.00 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and disappointing 47:20 K:BB across 54 innings. He has a career-low 20.7 percent strikeout rate, and Cabrera has lost some zip on his fastball, averaging just 95.7 mph with the pitch after coming in at 97 mph with Miami in 2025.

Shaw started the game in center field in what was his first game action in over two weeks. He should not require many more, if any, rehab at-bats before returning to the Cubs' active roster. Shaw is working his way back from mid-back tightness.

If the rehab start goes well for Boyd on Saturday, he will rejoin Chicago afterwords. The southpaw made his most recent rehab start Sunday, when he allowed two earned runs on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts across four innings.

Harvey landed on the injured list with right triceps inflammation April 12. He began a throwing program in late April and had progressed to throwing off a mound, but he was then diagnosed with a stress reaction in the triceps. He isn't expected to resume throwing until at least early June, so the transfer to the 60-day IL doesn't come as a surprise.

Merryweather has been shelved since spring training with a left hamstring strain, but he's finally ready for game action. The veteran reliever is signed to a minor-league contract with the Twins and will eventually move up to Triple-A St. Paul.

Hodge will miss the remainder of the 2026 season after undergoing UCL reconstruction surgery Tuesday, so the Cubs will stash him away on the 60-day IL and give his 40-man roster spot to Nicky Lopez.

Francona indicated previously that Lowder would rejoin the Reds' rotation for Sunday's series finale as long as he got through Tuesday's rehab start at Triple-A Louisville without any hiccups. That happened, as the righty had an 8:0 K:BB over five innings while yielding three runs. Lowder threw 70 pitches on Tuesday, so he will not be fully stretched out against the Cardinals. The right-hander has been sidelined since early May due to right shoulder discomfort.

Ashcraft got the injection after a second opinion confirmed he's dealing with a UCL sprain. The right-hander was immediately placed on the 60-day injured list following the injury last Friday and is not expected back until some point after the All-Star break.

De La Cruz was placed on the 10-day injured list earlier Monday for the first time in his major-league career. He could get another MRI in a couple weeks to check the status of his progress, but early indications are that De La Cruz will likely be sidelined for 2-to-4 weeks. Matt McLain is drawing the start at shortstop for Cincinnati in Monday's game versus the Royals, and Edwin Arroyo is making his major-league debut at second base.

With the MRI results indicating Pagan is healing, the reliever has been cleared to run on an anti-gravity treadmill. Pagan was removed from a game May 5 and placed on the 15-day injured list the next day. He's eligible to return at any point but his original return timeline of four-to-eight weeks is a wide window.

Meanwhile, the Reds turned to Sam Moll to pitch the eighth, and then Tony Santillan pitched a clean ninth inning to get the save. Johnson had given up a homer in most recent outing Saturday, perhaps taking him out of consideration for this save chance. He now has a 3.72 ERA and 1.34 WHIP over 19.1 innings for the season.

The goal of Friday's imaging is to determine how much activity Trevino should be allowed to perform by the club's medical staff. The catcher exited a game May 16 and was added to the injured list shortly after with a three-to-four week timeline.

It's the first time Greene has thrown from the mound since he underwent surgery in mid-March to remove bone chips from his right elbow. There's no word on what his velocity was, but Greene might not have been throwing at full intensity, anyway. The right-hander will likely need a couple more bullpen sessions before progressing to facing hitters and eventually going out on a rehab assignment. Greene is aiming to rejoin the Reds' rotation sometime in July.

Hayes appears to have faded into more of a part-time role for the Reds, as he'll be on the bench for the third time in eight games. Sal Stewart will receive the nod at third base in place of Hayes, who is holding down a career-worst .420 OPS over 128 plate appearances on the season.

The transaction clears space on the 40-man roster for the addition of Tejay Antone, who was called up from Triple-A Louisville. Williamson landed on the 15-day IL last week with left shoulder fatigue and now won't be eligible for activation until late June.

The Astros haven't offered up an official timeline for Diaz's return from the left oblique strain that sent him to the injured list May 5, but if he's cleared to join a minor-league affiliate within the next few days, he could have a realistic shot at rejoining the big club by the middle of June. Since Diaz was deactivated, Christian Vazquez has taken over as the Astros' No. 1 catcher, with Cesar Salazar serving as Vazquez's backup.

Sousa was placed on the 15-day injured list May 9 due to left elbow inflammation and was shut down from activity for nearly three weeks before receiving clearance to start playing catch. The left-handed reliever isn't expected to require a lengthy buildup period, but he'll presumably need to complete a rehab assignment prior to being activated from the IL.

After landing on the injured list May 19 due to right shoulder inflammation, McCullers was shut down from activity for about a week and a half before being cleared to begin ramping up again. While McCullers doesn't necessarily appear to be headed for a long-term absence, the Astros could elect to have him build up slowly as a means of buying time to decide on what his role will look like moving forward. With Hunter Brown (shoulder) tracking toward a mid-June return from the IL and with Peter Lambert and Kai-Wei Teng emerging as viable back-end starting options, the Astros may not be willing to reopen a rotation spot for McCullers once he's ready for activation. McCullers struggled mightily over his eight starts prior to landing on the shelf, posting a 6.86 ERA and 1.53 WHIP across 39.1 innings.

Javier made his first appearance at any level in nearly two months, as he's been on the Astros' injured list since April 10 due to a Grade 2 right shoulder strain. Given the long layoff, some rust was to be expected from the right-hander during the rehab outing, but he still fell short of the Astros' goal of reaching at least two innings and 30-to-35 pitches, per Chandler Rome of The Athletic. Javier needed 28 pitches just to generate two outs, though on a positive note, his fastball velocity sat around his pre-injury levels at 92-to-93 mph during the outing, per Javier Gonzalez of PelotaCubanaUSA.com. The 29-year-old will probably require at least three more rehab starts to build up his pitch count and re-emerge as a viable option for the Houston rotation.

It will be the first time Altuve has faced live pitching since he went down with a left oblique strain in mid-May. Astros manager Joe Espada indicated previously that Altuve might not need a rehab assignment, so his return to the lineup appears imminent now that he's facing live pitching.

Shewmake exited Saturday's contest due to groin soreness and will sit for at least one game. Nick Allen is picking up a start at second base for Houston in the series finale.

The Astros could provide an official timeline for Correa's return once surgery is completed, but the veteran infielder has already been ruled out for the season and is expected to require around 6-to-8 months to fully recover from the procedure. Correa slashed .279/.369/.418 with three home runs, one stolen base, 16 RBI and 22 runs over 141 plate appearances in 32 games before suffering the ankle injury in batting practice prior to Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Dodgers.

Brown made his last rehab outing with Sugar Land on Friday, allowing a run with five strikeouts and no walks over three innings. The right-hander continues working his way back from a shoulder strain and will likely require at least one more minor-league start after Thursday before being ready to rejoin the big-league rotation.

While Vargas is considered day-to-day, Lovullo said Vargas is unlikely to play Friday against the Nationals. It's still good news after he and Muncy were involved in a big collision at first base in the fifth inning Thursday. Pavin Smith came on to replace Vargas at first base following his injury.

With the right-hander returning Sunday, he will have missed the minimum three games. Kade Strowd or Phillip Abner are likely candidates to be sent down to make room for Clarke since they both joined the big club as part of the corresponding moves.

McCann is rehabbing a quad strain that landed him on the 10-day injured list May 19. At that time, the club estimated a four-to-six week timeline for his return.

Santana had appeared poised for activation from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday's game against the Rangers, but his status is now up in the air. The 40-year-old was functioning as the Diamondbacks' primary first baseman before getting hurt in early April, but with the emergence of Ildemaro Vargas, Santana could be looking at a reduced role when he does make it back.

With Doyle's stay on the IL likely to extend through at least the upcoming week, Jake McCarthy should be in store for regular run in center field against both righties and lefties after previously being limited to the strong side of a platoon.

Though a recent MRI revealed no issues with Moniak's ankle beyond tendinitis, the outfielder looks like he'll have to wait a bit for the discomfort to subside before he resumes baseball activities. Moniak's recent move to the IL appears to have opened up a full-time role in the outfield for Tyler Freeman, who has started in 10 of the Rockies' last 11 games.

Vodnik hit 95 mph with his fastball during the workout, putting him a few ticks behind his season-long average of 98.8 mph. Even so, the side session represents an important step forward in the recovery process for Vodnik, who was placed on the 15-day injured list May 20 due to right ulnar nerve inflammation. He's slated to throw another side session early on during the upcoming week before advancing to facing hitters by the weekend.

Beck was placed on the 10-day injured list May 18 due to a left hamstring injury, but the fact that he's running again likely indicates that he's working his way back from a low-grade strain. Once he's running the bases at full speed, Beck may need only a brief minor-league rehab assignment before returning from the IL.

Quintana exited Sunday's start against the Diamondbacks in the second inning with a sore elbow, and an MRI has revealed ligament damage. It's unclear at this point whether the veteran hurler will need surgery or attempt to rest and rehab the injury, but even if it's the latter he's likely looking at an extended absence. Quintana has been limited to nine starts this season because of hamstring and now elbow problems, and he's collected an unsightly 5.27 ERA and 20:17 K:BB over 41 innings.

The 32-year-old righty had been one of the Rockies' key setup men prior to landing on the shelf, notching three holds and one save while logging a 5.06 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB in 16 innings over 15 appearances.

Initially placed on the 10-day injured list April 29 due to a right high-ankle sprain, Baez hadn't progressed as quickly as the Tigers had hoped while conducting his rehab program at the team's facility in Florida. After meeting with an ankle specialist Monday, Baez was advised to put his rehab on hold and rest up for the time being. Once he eventually starts ramping up again, Baez is likely to require a minor-league rehab assignment before rejoining the Tigers, so he's still expected to be multiple weeks away from being activated.

Detroit placed Mize on the 15-day injured list Friday due to right adductor inflammation, but his ability to step back on the mound just a few days later suggests that he's tracking toward an abbreviated stint on the shelf. The Tigers haven't decided on Mize's next steps, but assuming he bounces back well from the side session, he'll likely advance to facing hitters by the weekend. Meadows is also recovering from a concussion. He's already been moved to the 60-day injured list, and there remains no clear timetable for his return at this point. Javier Baez has seen more action in center field since Meadows went down, and Matt Vierling and Wenceel Perez have also experienced an elevated role.

Anderson was pulled from the game after taking an 89.6-mph line drive off his right forearm in the seventh inning. This transaction has been an eventuality since it was announced in early May that Zerpa required a UCL reconstruction on his left elbow. The 26-year-old is expected to be sidelined until around midseason of 2027.

Koenig hit the 15-day injured list April 6 with a left elbow sprain that was diagnosed as having UCL damage. The southpaw was able to resume throwing April 28 and returned to mound work May 12. If he does begin his rehab assignment Friday with Triple-A Nashville, it will be against Triple-A Gwinnett. This likely pushes the reliever's return to early May.

Walls exited Monday's 10-9 loss due to left hamstring tightness, though he described his removal from the contest as precautionary and said he felt "100 percent" ready to play if needed, per MLB.com. The Rays have nonetheless opted to hold Walls out of the lineup for the final two games of the series, though he may be available off the bench Wednesday. Ben Williamson will receive another start at shortstop in place of Walls.

Heasley had a brief stint with the big-league club this week, allowing five runs over four innings in an appearance May 27. He was was DFA'd on Friday and is now back with Durham. Heasley has a career 6.04 ERA over 143 major-league regular-season innings, so he's likely to be used as bullpen depth for when the big club needs an extra arm.

Per Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, Kimbrel showed no sign of injury while tossing a scoreless inning of relief in his Rays debut Tuesday in Baltimore, but his wrist began bothering him Friday. After consulting with team doctors, Kimbrel and the Rays came to a mutual decision for the veteran right-hander to go on the shelf, though he could be ready for activation when first eligible June 12.

Lux has already missed more than 60 days while he's been on the shelf all season, initially due to a right shoulder impingement before he sprained his left ankle April 11 while on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham. He was cleared to return to action in the minors approximately two weeks later, only to be shut down earlier this month after suffering a setback with his shoulder injury. While the move to the 60-day IL won't affect Lux's timeline for a return, it will allow the Rays to open up a spot on the 40-man roster for right-hander Jonathan Heasley, who was called up from Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move.

Monday marked the shortest outing of the season for Scholtens, who had covered at least three innings in each of his previous eight appearances while serving as a starter or bulk reliever. He entered the game in the bottom of the 12th and was unable to protect the Rays' one-run lead, as Colton Cowser began the inning at second base and then came around to score on a fielder's choice. Scholtens then took a two-run lead into the bottom of the 13th, but after the Orioles tied the game on an RBI double and sacrifice fly, the right-hander surrendered a two-run walk-off home run to Cowser. With the Rays recently getting Steven Matz back from the injured list to fill out their rotation, Scholtens appears set to handle a more traditional bullpen role moving forward.

Though the Grade 1 diagnosis is the least severe, the Rays nevertheless anticipate a lengthy absence for the outfielder. DeLuca had been serving as the Rays' primary right fielder of late, and in the two games since he got hurt, the club has used Ryan Vilade once (against a lefty) and Victor Mesa once (against a righty) at the position.

Tampa Bay placed Fraley on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to the hernia, but it wasn't immediately clear whether the outfielder would need surgery to address the matter. Now that the Rays have confirmed Fraley will need a procedure, he appears likely to remain on the shelf through the All-Star break. Martin -- who turns 40 on Tuesday -- returned from a biceps injury in late May but wasn't sharp in four outings, allowing four runs with a 0:2 K:BB over four innings. He'll be eligible for activation in mid-June, but it's unclear how long he might be sidelined.

The Rangers made a number of transactions Monday, and moving Garcia to the 60-day IL opened a spot on the 40-man roster for left-hander Robby Ahlstrom, who was called up from Triple-A Round Rock. Since being placed on the 15-day IL in late April due to left rotator cuff inflammation, Garcia has been doing light work in his throwing program since early May. He's not eligible to be reinstated from the IL until late June, but the Rangers will have a better sense of Garcia's recovery timeline once he progresses to throwing bullpen sessions.

Nimmo landed awkwardly when legging out an infield single in the sixth inning. Haggerty entered as a pinch runner and remained in the game to play left field, while Alejandro Osuna moved from left to right field. With Nimmo day-to-day and Wyatt Langford (forearm) on the injured list, Haggerty could grab some starts in the coming days. He's filled a minor role with the Rangers, totaling just 33 plate appearances and batting .161 over 25 games so far this season.

A clearer target for Civale's return should become available once he reaches the point in his throwing program that he's facing hitters.

Severino sustained the injury during his most recent start Friday against the Yankees and was placed on the 15-day injured list a day later. The right-hander underwent an MRI on Monday that confirmed the severity of the shoulder strain, which he'll treat with a platelet-rich plasma injection Thursday. Severino will wait for the shot to take effect before he begins the rehab process, and since he's not expected to start ramping up his throwing until he gets re-evaluated at the beginning of July, the 32-year-old would appear unlikely to return from the IL before the All-Star break.

Kriske landed on the 15-day injured list last Wednesday with a right shoulder impingement. He will need some time to get built back up following the shutdown period, which makes it unlikely Kriske will return until July.

Muncy fractured his left hand on a hit-by-pitch in mid-April, which led to him being placed on the 10-day injured list later that month. Clarke went on the 10-day injured list in late April with a foot injury but suffered a high-grade left hamstring strain last week while on a rehab assignment. He will remain shut down from activities following the PRP injection and is expected to be sidelined until well after the All-Star break.

It will be a fifth straight start missed for Garcia, who is working his way back from a right hamstring injury. The Royals are optimistic Garcia will be able to avoid the injured list, but a decision one way or another will need to be made soon. Nick Loftin is again filling in at third base in Garcia's stead.

Ragans was shut down after not feeling well in the aftermath of his rehab start with Triple-A Omaha on May 23, but he has now resumed throwing. The southpaw landed on the injured list May 8 due to a left elbow impingement and had made good progress in his recovery before the setback. Resuming throwing is a positive first step, though the next stages of his rehab remain unclear and there is no timetable for a return.

Mears has been struggling of late and has given up runs in three of his last four outings, posting an alarming 9.64 ERA and 1.93 WHIP over 4.2 innings in that stretch. While a four-game sample isn't big enough to draw significant concerns, Mears is clearly trending in the wrong direction after he gave up just three earned runs in his first 16 outings (14.0 innings) this season.

Bubic began a throwing program this past weekend and continues to play catch despite not yet feeling 100 percent. The southpaw will not be allowed to ramp things up until he's no longer feeling fatigue in his pitching arm, so there remains no timetable for Bubic's return to the Royals' rotation. He posted a 4.11 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 51:26 K:BB across 50.1 innings before landing on the 15-day injured list with left elbow discomfort in mid-May.

While on a rehab assignment for a left foot contusion May 6, Estevez was diagnosed with a right rotator cuff strain and subsequently shut down from throwing. The right-hander met with team doctors Tuesday for a re-evaluation and seemingly received positive news, as he has now resumed throwing. The development marks a step in the right direction, though Kansas City will likely proceed cautiously with the veteran's buildup, and he'll almost certainly require another rehab assignment, leaving his timetable for a return unclear. With Estevez sidelined, Lucas Erceg has stepped in as the Royals' closer and posted a 5.06 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 18:13 K:BB while converting 11 of 15 save opportunities across 21.1 innings.

Schanuel was placed on the 10-day injured list with left ankle inflammation May 27 and hasn't played since May 23. Prior to going down with the injury, Schanuel was slashing .262/.313/.387 with four home runs, 24 RBI, 18 runs scored and a 13:33 BB:K across 208 plate appearances. Schanuel's 6.3 percent walk rate is well below his 10.6 percent career average. Lacking power, Schanuel also owns a career-high 14.3 percent infield flyball rate this season.

Soler logged his first three-hit game of the campaign, highlighted by a two-RBI triple in the eighth inning that tied the game, though the Angels ultimately fell. It marked the veteran slugger's first triple of the season and his first since 2024, giving him just five three-baggers across 13 big-league campaigns. On the year, Soler is slashing .221/.301/.404 with nine homers, 33 RBI and 27 runs across 56 games.

Wednesday will mark the Angels' third consecutive game without Neto in the starting nine while he battles whiplash. Manager Kurt Suzuki said the decision to sit him down was precautionary, per Bollinger, so it doesn't seem like the team is worried about Neto's injury leading to an IL stint. His next chance to return to the lineup will come Friday against the Dodgers.

D'Arnaud landed on the 10-day injured list May 8 due to right foot plantar fasciitis. Moncada is slashing just .191/.310/.300 through 129 plate appearances this season, and Thursday's game will be the third consecutive contest that he's begun on the bench. Vaughn Grissom will start at the hot corner while Moncada sits, and that may be the norm for the Angels going forward.

After Ekness was spotted moving around in the Miami clubhouse with the aid of crutches following Sunday's loss to the Mets, the Marlins placed him on the 15-day injured list a day later. Ekness was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday but didn't make any relief appearances during his second stint of the season with the big club. Given the estimated six-week recovery timeline, Ekness will remain on the shelf through the All-Star break.

The 28-year-old was injured in early April and underwent surgery to repair his left hamstring. Conine's making progress in his recovery, but there's no firm timeline yet for him to begin a rehab stint. Given the length of his layoff, a mid-June return to the majors might be a best-case scenario for Conine.

Jeffers was given an initial recovery timeline of 6-to-8 weeks, and to this point there's been nothing to indicate that timetable has changed.

After landing on the 15-day IL on Friday with an elbow injury, Rojas is already starting to feel better. If he is cleared by Twins doctors, the 23-year-old can begin throwing again as soon as Tuesday or Wednesday. In 14.1 innings, Rojas recorded a 1.26 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 14:10 K:BB.

Ober will not pitch for around two weeks after exiting Saturday's start against Pittsburgh with what is now determined as a mild flexor strain. Minnesota is slightly optimistic about the injury due to his UCL still being intact. Through 12 starts this season, Ober has recorded a 6-3 record with a 4.59 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 46:18 K:BB.

It's not clear how many rehab starts the Padres will ask Marquez to make. He held a 5.76 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 19:12 K:BB across 29.2 innings before getting hurt.

Cronenworth has been sidelined since landing on the 7-day concussion IL on May 5. It appears the utility man has been feeling well enough to take part in baseball activities, but manager Craig Stammen said Friday that Cronenworth's return to action is "going to be a pretty slow process." Cronenworth will likely need to get in some minor-league rehab games before he's activated, but at this point when that may happen is quite hazy.

Campusano hasn't played since fouling a ball off his toe against San Francisco on May 5. He landed on the IL two days later after being diagnosed with a fracture of his left toe. Campusano appears to have progressed in his recovery substantially, and he could be ready to return in early June. He may need a minor-league rehab stint first, however, given the amount of time he's missed.

Waldron landed on the IL last Friday due to a right brachialis muscle injury. He had initially been slated to be designated for assignment, as Waldron lost hold of his spot in the rotation after Lucas Giolito was cleared to make his team debut. If Waldron remains with the club after he gets healthy, he'll likely be asked to work out of the bullpen, barring injuries to other starters reopening a spot in the rotation. Over six appearances (three starts) with San Diego so far in 2026, Waldron has posted a 8.49 ERA and 1.71 WHIP over 23.1 innings.

The deal includes an invitation to major-league spring training. Jacques collected a 6.02 ERA and 61:23 K:BB over 52.1 innings at the Triple-A level in 2025. The left-handed reliever will compete for a bullpen job during spring training.

Raleigh will move up to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday and will continue his rehab assignment there for the rest of next week before the Mariners evaluate him for a return to the active roster. That sets Raleigh up to return to the Seattle lineup June 16 for the beginning of a homestand, assuming all goes well. He's been out since mid-May with a right oblique strain.
